Fire Retardant Treated Wood as Art Piece Mounting
Open to the public in October, 2005, this 141,000 square foot, 6 floor, 44.5 million dollar project was originally a Masonic Hall and is now the new wing of the Portland Art Museum. This new building contains 17 different galleries housing items such as Claude Monet's "Waterlillies" and Paul Cezanne's "Paris: Quai de Bercy". a library, 2 ballrooms that can be used by the public, a gourmet kitchen and office spaces.
PYRO-GUARD® was also utilized to mount the art pieces to the walls, providing a sturdy backing and also protection from fire.
