
PRESERVATIVE TREATMENT: CCA preservative treated lumber and plywood
bearing the Hoover Treated Wood Products, Inc., identification stamp is pressure
impregnated to comply with the following:
1. Preservative shall be CCA Type C in accordance with American Society of
Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standard D-1625 and Federal Specification TT-W-
550.
2. Pressure impregnation shall be in accordance with methods detailed by ASTM
Standard D-1760 and Federal Specification TT-W-571.
3. Each piece of lumber and plywood shall bear a Hoover Treated Wood Products,
Inc., treating identification mark indicating retention and applicable standards.
4. Lumber shall be kiln dried after treatment (
KDAT) to a moisture content of
19% or less.
5. Plywood shall be kiln dried after treatment (KDAT) to a moisture content of
18% or less.
6. Lumber shall be Southern Pine, Mixed Southern Pine, Hem-Fir, Spruce Pine Fir
or other recognized species capable of meeting preservative penetration
requirements
7. Plywood veneers shall be composed of only softwood species, glued with
waterproof adhesives.
