Celebrating Safety Excellence: 2023 Hoover Safety Award Winners

At Hoover, our mission is clear: to make people and their environments—where they live, work, and play—safer. By promoting the use of fire-retardant-treated wood (FRTW) products, Hoover is redefining the conversation around fire safety, life safety, and innovation in construction.

However, this mission starts with one essential group—our team and the places we work.

Lynn Morris, our Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), often says, “Safety by choice, not by chance.” And thanks to the dedication of our team, this approach is working.

We had four plants with ZERO incidents reported for 2023. These are outstanding achievements, and we want to thank the following employees for embodying Hoover’s safety values and making Hoover a safe place to work.

Injury Free 2023 (Safety Excellence) Awards

The following employees exemplified 100% injury-free reporting for all of 2023. This year we had three injury free sites. Let’s have a round of applause for Chris Hibbs (West Virginia), Aaron Hence (Texas), and Keith Faircloth (Florida)!

Most Reported Near Misses Award

We value continuous improvement at Hoover and one our most important metrics for this is reporting our ‘near misses.’ Congratulations to Jamar Johnson in Georgia!

Congratulations to all the winners of the 2023 Hoover Safety Awards. Together, we will continue to keep Hoover a safe place to work and a beacon of safety excellence in the industry.
